My disability never halted my passion

I was born with a physical disability affecting my right leg. I was told that I would never be able to walk, but I proved my doctors wrong. In my youth, I danced in front of an audience and played the drums. It was during those moments I knew I wanted to be an entertainer. However, I quickly discovered my body could not handle the rigorous hours of work required to make it to that level. I was heartbroken that I had to give up those dreams, but I decided this passion should be placed elsewhere.

High school was revolutionary in my idea of entertainment. I began working backstage in the theater, discovered the art behind video and audio editing, and found an appreciation for the writing and design of video games. It was my senior year when my passion for entertainment revitalized and I was ready to begin my pursuit in the industry again.

Currently, I am a student at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, studying the entertainment industry and strengthening my skills in digital editing and story writing. I dream of working in the video game industry as a character and level designer and eventually creating my own studio further into my career.
